UNISON’s welfare charity, known as ‘There for You’, provides support to UNISON members and their families who are experiencing financial and emotional difficulties. Here are some of the key services offered:
Financial Assistance: This includes one-off grants to help with general living costs, household appliances, urgent repairs, disability equipment, utility bills, and funeral costs.
Debt Advice: UNISON Debtline offers free, confidential advice to help members manage and clear their debts.
Wellbeing Breaks: Financial assistance for breaks to provide relief from stress and difficult circumstances.
General Advice: Confidential support for personal difficulties, available over the phone or in person
We can make a difference by raising funds for ‘ThereForYou’ through our ‘300,000 steps in October’ challenge! This is especially important as Unison Welfare’s budget has been cut by 50% over the last year. THANK YOU!
